.:SoC Short:. A Smoke Downwind

The sun was bright and the weather was grand during todays his weekly sprint, he ran across the white sands of his home, and  made it into the grassy lands that were covered with palm trees. Wind in his hair and clearing his mind. A run that felt so good as to think of nothing but running, how his feet pressed on the ground, how the winds caressed his body and how the wind felt in his hair. In the breeze that kept him calm, he sniffed the area he was in. Soon the slid into a halt. What was this smoky odor? His ears bobbed as he scanned the area. He was in the ruins of Eruil, once a great temple. Now a pile of rubble. His scaled feet felt the grittiness of the  place and shut his eyes as he walked. He felt the rocks near by and the sun behind his head. The smell was getting more pungent. He followed his nose taking soft, deep breaths. Soon to be stopped by a hand to his chest and shot his eyes and his tail found the neck of who ever it was. But a familiar sound came from his opponent.. It was his brother, Olivander.

"Little Brother... I'd... L-Like to breathe..." he hissed out scarcely as he tried pulling the coil around his neck off. Nagochi released him and sighed crossing his arms to his chest. "I swear I will kill you one day.." A roaring laughter came from Olivander, his deep pink eyes smiled as he smirked. "You can do that later. But right now look at that!" he pointed to a fire burning a good few feet from him. Nagochi fixed his hues to see a form in that flame. It was.. "I don't believe it... is that a-" Olivander smirking cut him off. " An Onibi. A human sized Onibi!" a grin from cheek to cheek pressed on his face. The onibi was a bright flame, its body of fire and the sand under the onibi was crystallizing. Nagochi and Olivander smirked as they watched the onibi hover above the crystal that were forming under. The figure turned to the brothers and a.. giggle came from the female flame. The duo's ears bobbed and smirked. She knew she was being watched. "I had been following this fire occurrences, and she just formed! Ahh.. I am in awe how they come to life." Olivander sighed in content as the Onibi hovered over to them, a wave of heat brushing their faces. "She is 'hot'.. mind my pun, hun. So, brother, will you tell me how to find these hot babies?" asked Nagochi as his hues softened to the view of the untouchable flame. "What? I'm not selling you the chance to meet these babes!.. Knowing you, you burn yourself with 3rd degree burns! Being all gentlemanly and such!" he said as backed off from his younger sibling, his light brown locks swiveling. "I'm hoping to see their habitat. Ciao, little Nagi~" He bellowed as the flame was headed off and Olivander slithering close behind.

"Well I'll be damned.. Brother need to watch his research.. I swear." he ushered as he rubbed the back of his neck, a small smile on his features. As he walked over to the pile of golden and clear crystals that formed under the Onibi. "Well.. Momma didn't raise no fool.. I got food and then some now." he said collecting the crystals off the sand. Soon to head over to the trading post to, get a good meal.
